REGISTRATION & WELCOME REFRESHMENTS
As digital technologies become readily available and accessible, we see organisations and countries managing to transform exponentially by embracing digitalisation to the core and forging multi-stakeholder partnerships to transform themselves, sectors and even nation-wide.
PANEL: CATALYSING DIGITALISATION TO ACHIEVE TRANSFORMATION ACROSS SECTORS
This session will examine the approaches that organisations from traditional industries have taken to achieve exponential transformation by looking beyond transformation internally at the organisation-level but focusing on sector-wide transformation.
PANEL: ECOSYSTEM DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION THROUGH SHAREHOLDER PARTNERSHIPS
This session will discuss the importance for multiple stakeholders in the national ecosystem to partner each other and tap on the synergies so that organisations can extract more value for their businesses in a digital age and achieve mutual benefits.
This segment will cast a spotlight on Asia in a digital-as-usual age, highlighting the investment potential and technological surge in the region. The segment will also place a focus on Southeast Asia, exploring the region’s unique opportunities, operating environment, and consumer needs in a digital economy.
FEATURE: BUILDING SOUTHEAST ASIA'S NEXT TECH GENERATION
Southeast Asia’s digital economy is expanding at an unprecedented pace. Join Grab’s Co-Founder Tan Hooi Ling as she discusses the opportunities and challenges for growth in the region, and how companies and governments can work together to unleash the full potential of the region, and grow the next generation of technology leaders in Southeast Asia.
IN CONVERSATION: ASIA'S MASSIVE GROWTH POTENTIAL IN A DIGITAL AGE
This session will focus on the massive growth potential of Asia in a digital age, accelerated by a booming ecosystem of innovative start-ups, technologists and investors seizing opportunities in the digital economy. Is this all boom – or are there areas of uncertainty and challenges that might turn out to be stumbling blocks in Asia’s growth story? This segment will also highlight how Chinese innovation is potentially shaping the world and its impact on business globally, by featuring one fo the world’s leading AI unicorn.
With exponential digital transformation taking place across industries, governments and society globally, there is an increasing urgency to identify, acknowledge and tackle the impact and implications of a digital-as-usual age. Mounting concerns on the ethical use of technology including artificial intelligence and big data, as well as risks associated with online use including fake news and social-media facilitated extremism are increasingly threatening the trust that society has in digital technologies. This segment raises a cautionary tale of taking trust for granted, and explores concrete ways where technology, businesses and governments can -despite their inherently different interest- co-own and co-create the trust building process in a digital-as-usual age.
PANEL: CO-CREATING THE TRUST BUILDING PROCESS IN A DIGITAL AGE
This session discusses the tensions between technology companies and governments today and attempt to distil common objectives and interests in both to ensure that trust in a digital age does not erode; such commanalties call for co-ownership of the complex challenges on hand. The panel will explore how public and private sectors globally can co-create a new trust building process moving forward.
